Training camps in the "bubble" in full swing
In the mid-January training camps which we are organizing in Croatian Istria are in full swing. We started on January 3, when the Czech team 1.FC Slovačko was the first to arrive to their camp. They were followed by the Croatian HNK Rijeka and GNK Dinamo II, the Hungarian Budafoki MTE and MOL Fehérvár FC, and the Austrian SK Sturm Graz. Recently, PFC Levski from Sofia joined us in for their camp, which will last for 20 days, and at the same time we were joined by the Polish first division team TS Podbeskizie Bielska-Biala. Slovenian teams are also expected soon, as FC Olimpija, NK Domžale and NK Aluminij will also be preparing in Istria. At the end of the month, we expect the Austrian side Kapfenberg and the Bosnian FK Sarajevo to arrive, and then we are already looking at the organization of camp for the junior selections in February, of course, if government decrees allow it.
The organization of training camps is really special this year. We opened three hotels (Melia Coral 5*, Parentium 4*, Molindrio 4*) in two destinations - Umag and Poreč. In addition to closing hotels in "bubbles", which are only available for sport athletes, we also take care of secure logistics between teams with strict separation of premises, regular PCR tests and all other hygiene standards. A special challange is also the organization of friendly matches. This year we will organize close to 30 of them, and all of them must also be organized in a "bubble" with closed to visitor and other regulations.
Despite many challenges, we are very pleased with the fact that the teams are extremely satisfied with the camps, both with the hotel services as well as with the quality of the sports infrastructure and the organization of friendly matches.
That is also why we are very looking forward to the continuation of winter training camps and we can hardly wait for the arrival of new teams.
